I won't lie. I started reading this book and really loved it. I was enjoying it so much that I just knew I had to stop where I was, go back and grab the first book, so I could read along with the whole story. I am so pleased I did, as I LOVED both. So, before you start this book, be sure you have read the first book. You can, I believe, read without, but you will wish you hadn't.

The characters in this book were excellent. I found their attempts at a relationship very real life. They weren't always successful, they didn't always make the right choices and they didn't always follow through. They were into each other and made a go at what they wanted. I liked that. I also loved what Grey gave us to go along with that...hot sex scenes.

We were given a very great story, from Grey. It is very real and believable, which made the romance in it a lot more exciting and fun to read. I liked that there was also a lot of thought and detail that went into each part of the story and the world.

The story itself was brilliant. It was entertaining, exciting and easily addicting. I read for several hours and still hadn't had enough.

Overall, I highly recommend this book, if you are in the market for something steamy and real.

** I received this book for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

I have been impatiently waiting for this book since November. I had received that one as an ARC was absolutely intrigued with this story. I have repeatedly fallen in love with Jeanette Grey's writing. First with When The Stars Align then with Seven Nights to Surrender & then with Confessions in the Dark and now all over again with Eight Ways to Ecstasy. The writing is so profound and you feel like your a fly on the wall while reading this. You are transferred there through her writing. Enchanted and captured by this book from the very beginning. I love Kate and Rylan so much and i love the growth they both show and how much they go through together as well as separately. Those to me are the best books. Character development in more then 1 aspect. Jeanetter Grey you have easily became a favorite of mine and I will read ANYTHING you write. Looking forward to Nine Kinds of Naughty!!! thank you for the opportunity to have read this book.

This is a great follow up to Seven Nights to Surrender. Fun, angsty and romantic all in one. I loved how they got to the heart of their issues and how her feelings influenced her art so strongly. I'm looking forward to Nine Kinds of Naughty, and really hoping that sexy Evan might get his own story. HINT!

description

I enjoyed this sequel so so much. I can’t even! I was fangirling the entire time…

While one of the main problems of the first book was the little action and plot, this book breaks both of those problems. Kate and Rylan actually have lives in this book, outside of the time they spend together, and even when together, they actually go out and interact with other people. Also, they have so much going in their lives besides each other… and the characters’ growth! WOW!

I had some problems with Kate’s reactions on the first book, but I finally understood them here. It was such a different thing to see both of them in their element, and the inclusion of friends and family in the story.

I loved their dynamic in this book. Kate was more assertive to some extent, and Rylan was doing whatever he could to make her see how much he wanted “them” to work. But when things fell apart I was actually surprised… the things they said to each other were real, and they were both so right that it hurt a little.

Ultimately, this being an erotica novel and all, there were some HOT scenes. Hotter than the first book actually . And it was so beautifully written…

Honestly people, I think I’m in love with this book and these characters a bit. I adored it, it was a perfect conclusion to Kate and Rylan’s story, and now I’m excited to read Lexie’s story in the next book.:) So, if you’re into this genre, give this series a go, it’s well worth it.

Well, let me just say that the writing in this book was uncommonly good. Sadly, when I requested the book for review, I didn't realize that there was another book before it. Perhaps if I had bothered to read that book, where Rylan and Kate's story begins, it would have enhanced my experience of reading and enjoying THIS book. That being said, I will attempt to review this book on its own merit - it is certainly not this book's fault that I failed to read the first book.

It was certainly a well-done, provocative love story. I think the writer took great pains to delve into each character's issues with their past (mostly involving their fathers). I liked how even though the premise was about Rylan being granted 7 nights to win back Kate's trust, it was really about both of them learning to open up to each other and be emotionally vulnerable with each other. It was a really beautifully crafted love-story and despite not having read the first book, I still managed to enjoy the second.

I highly recommend starting with the first book, so there's no time spent wondering why things started out the way they did. The author eventually tells you why but a good portion of the book passes without knowing.

This is a well written, beautiful, off the charts steamy romance between two people from opposite sides of the track. This author knows how to write a male lead who knows how to worship his woman. Sizzling HOT! The sexual chemistry between Rylan and Kate is explosive! Chapters 21 and 29...WOW! So good I actually remember the chapter numbers. Both characters have their issues and some of them are deep-seated. Watching them work through them and have their "aha" moments made you want to jump up, point at both of them and say "FINALLY!" Great story! I can't wait to read the next book in The Art of Passion series.

This is a book two everyone and there is no way I can do this without some sort of spoiler to what happens in book one, so if you don’t want to know what happens, go grab Seven Nights to Surrender and come back once you’ve finished!

Rylan will do everything to win Kate’s heart back, and she’d giving him one more week to prove that they fit, that the things they experienced in Paris weren’t a fluke and that they are perfect for each other. Only that proves to be harder said than done. In New York they live in two different worlds… Kate a student working and going to school and struggling to make ends meet, and Rylan, heir to a business he turned his back on, where money has never been an issue.

Kate isn’t sure she can trust Rylan and all she wants is for him to open up and share his true feelings, but after being burned his father, that isn’t as easy as it may seem.

Grey writes stories with heart and Eight Ways to Ecstasy is definitely among my favorites of hers. I just absolutely loved that we got to learn so much more about Rylan here. For as much as he was a playboy before Kate, he is 100% in and devoted to proving himself to her now, and I really thought it was amazing how much he committed himself to her… even if she kept pushing him away.
Kate frustrated me a bit because for all the times she said she was giving him a chance, I really felt that it was only on the surface that that was happening. Deep down, I felt like she wasn’t hoping she would have to put her heart on the line again. So there were times that I really was angry at her while reading because she said she would try but I truly felt she was just counting down the days until she could send him on his way… and I loved when he called her out on it.

As usual, Grey can write some amazing and beautiful and steam sexy scenes and Eight Ways to Ecstasy proves it once again. I can’t tell you all how much I love that I can count on a handful of authors to not squick me out with weird words and awkward sex. I count Grey among these!
If you’re looking for a story of second chances, a story of forgiveness and even growing up and taking responsibility… a story of finding who you’re meant to be, then you’re going to want to give this series a read. I absolutely loved it and I’m hoping we’ll see more from Grey in the way of companion books that will share Rylan’s sister’s story.

Thank you to the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.
