These are entertaining enough for their age level, but I still can't bring myself to give them higher than 3 stars.

Thank you, Dink Duncan, Josh Pinto, Ruth Rose Hathaway, and Ron Roy, for the childhood memories. These books helped me to become a lifelong reader and lover of mysteries.

This one has been my favorite one so far! My youngest and I are slowly making our way through the series and this was the first one that she guessed "who done it" way early on.

But it was great to hear where Wallace Wallace lives. too bad we're doing the audio and are missing all those pictures!

Read aloud to Emma and Will. This is a fun series, and it was fun to hear them making guesses about what will happen next. I was impressed with their guesses! And they were fooled by the misinformation clues that I was able to see through.

My six-year-old daughter says:
I liked it because it was more of a mystery.

My four-year-old son says:
They go get water in their pants to float. 4 stars!!

Mom says:
This was much more of a Nancy Drew-feeling mystery for me compared with the earlier A-Z books. This one had some more scary moments but it all works out. As an adult, this one was one of the more fun for me.
