I see much of this story is "borrowed" from Star Wars, Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings... That bothers me a bit, but my 5 year old loved this book..

Guided reading level M

I don't think this series is as well written as other kids scifi fantasy book series, such as Magic Treehouse or Andrew Lost, but my son loves them.

This series is a good book for first graders. Not really a good cross over book however. The simplicity of the characters and quickness of the story line don't make for a great story by 3rd grade.

This is an important reminder to myself that wee little Charlotte was a total Secrets of Droon stan. If anything in my past predicted the kind of mega-nerd I ended up being as an adult, it would be the fact that I dressed up as Princess Keeah for a very early Halloween. Baby's first cosplay...............

I remember the day my mom bought me this book it was one of the first books I read by myself, I loved it back then and well since the last book came out in 2010 I was 11 when I finished it but it never got boring for me I'd recommend it to all the parents who want to buy their kids something that is easy to read and still entertaining.

This was okay. I like the Magic Tree House books better! Maybe we will try another one and see if we like it more later.

Reading these as a third grader was an experience I will never forget. It was a funny mystical adventure into a world of impossibility I could see myself in. I felt obligated to reread the series and sue to obvious age differences I didn't have that same experience...but that isn't a bad thing. It's a series jam packed with nostalgia and one of the first I'd commit myself to.
