Hunt and Bryce are a bit boring, like I felt they went from friends to mates way too quickly and abruptly. The build up of the last book did not add to this one, and Hunt and Bryce should have had more tension to make it work. Like why the hel was Hunt so okay with going into the rebellion after everything. That should have caused more drama. His moody spark that I loved in the first book died in this one. It was just abit too lovey dovey for me.

I love Day and Night… Ruhn and Lidia… My favourites! I called it! I did think it was Celestina at first but as soon as the Hind kept their secret, I knew it was her. But god the reveal was perfectly timed.

I love all the side characters, Ithan is so sweet! I kinda liked him with Tharion. I did see him a bit like mr nimbus from Rick and Morty… idk why!

The first part was quite hard to get into, why it was 4 stars.

But that ending! I had to read it twice to make sure.
If Rhys and Feyre do not help Hunt and Ruhn get free, I will literally scream. I want a whole book!

I can’t believe we have to wait till 2024. But I cannot wait!!

Officially read all SJM and have to say I really enjoyed the ride. TOG is unbeatable so far but i’m hoping Hofas is as good if not better!

First reread-22.01.2024

Ok, I give it 5 stars. I actually loved it even more than the first time I read it. My thoughts are basically the same though and now I have to suffer for a week.

This was a great book up until the last two chapters. I did not like those. (Well, the last chapter and the epilogue)

1. I hope we won’t have to wait 2 years for the next book.
2. If you know who will be in the next book for more than 3 chapters, I’ll riot. I know you all love him and want him but he had his books, let’s not focus on him in an otherwise great series.
3. My heart is broken for Bryce, Hunt and Ruhn. You know what, my heart’s broken for all my favorite found family members. I hope they won’t suffer for long anymore.
4. I have a long list of people who I do want suffering and then, die a horrible death.

This was an emotional rollercoaster in the best way possible, that’s what I want in a fantasy. Except those last chapters of course. That was definitely not what I wanted!

I just finished reading this book so I don’t have any clear thoughts yet, maybe I’ll come back and write a proper review, maybe not. We’ll see.

That ending is so exciting!!!

Bryce being alone in that world with the acotar people is so exciting to me. Even tough I would’ve preferred she had ran into my favourite queens and consorts.

Hunt becoming a slave again HURT that writing just hurt me, felt it in my body.

Bryce and Hunt together I love it, its meant to be and I just knew something was going to happen to him.

Ruhn I never really had an opinion about him until that last but when he sacrificed everything for his weird ass internet relationship that was so obviously the Hind. And then him comparing it to Bryce and Hunt like sir please get a reality check you did it with her in your minds what Bryce and Hunt have is solid lol.

Ithan my love, Ithan is precious no one touch Ithan I love him don’t hurt him.

Tharion is the best thing ever, I love his character so much and his banter is so fun. He has such a distinct personality and I love it. But it hurts me that now he belongs to the viper queen it reminds me so much of that one qos storyline. My heart hurts for him.

Fury and Juniper I could care less they low-key annoying.

Dec and Flynn feel so irrelevant to me, like I have nothing against them but they feel like such minor minuscule characters to me but when I think about they actually were in the story quite a lot.

My hopes for book 3:
- I want to see Aidas and Appolion please, pretty please. Haven’t seen Aidas in too long.
-I want Ithan to stay safe and not end up with that wolf in the tank cause that would be too cliche.
-I want to see Tharion go trough it, fighting for the viper queen winning and getting the heck out of there.
-I don’t want to see too much of the acotar characters I think it’s fun for a little intro or a few chapters, but I think it’s gonna be a bit odd if they would be in like the majority of the book. Or maybe it would be fun actually I don’t know but I trust Sarah.
-I want this book to be loooooong like make it 1200 pages I don’t care I want it.
-I’ve always thought this book cover would be green but it would be so pretty if it turned out pink or purple.
-I also want to see Bryce and Hunt reunite bc their spicy scenes are superior. And because I love their love for each other and I need them together so she can help him heal after rigelus and he can just hold her and listen to her stories about Feyre and the gang.
