Solid, enjoyable spin on Jane Austen's classic. Price adds a touch of Agatha Christie and Perry Mason to the proceedings. I look forward to the next in the series.

3.5 stars. “It is a truth universally acknowledged that a brilliant idea, conceived and executed by a clever young woman, must be claimed by a man”. Mystery wasn’t super hard to figure out, but it was so fun to read about all my favorite characters in this adaptation.

I didn’t expect a combination of pride and prejudice and Agatha Christie style investigation, as a young adult fiction, would be this fun to read! I was so engrossed right from the start. The murder, Jane’s sleuthing and Darcy’s rigidness - ah it was exciting right until the end. A quick fun read

I read sense and second degree murder first and loved it. So it was no surprise this, the first in the series, was hysterical. The author takes the time to learn and twist historical facts to make it fit the plot.

**Pride & Premeditation**

⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

**Personal thoughts:** I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun read. The book was also an easy read. The author did a fine job at making it entertaining. I actually laughed out loud at some parts. Maybe if I read this a different time, I would’ve appreciated it more. I’m a mood reader so for now this is the rating but maybe if I re-read it in the future it might be higher. Nothing was a con for me. I just wasn’t obsessed. But highly enjoyed. Enough to get the second book.

**Spicy level:** 0/5 | romance is PG
