STOP. MY HEART. Awwwwww. Thanks, my bestie, for recommending this. You probably won't see this but you are the coolest. You know who you are. :)

This book. I want to give it to my kids some day. It just pulls you in from the first page, with its beautiful writing and charming atmosphere and fascinating storyline... it is indescribable. Incomparable. I don't know how to label this, as I feel that it is beyond genres. It is magical and heartwarming and slightly spooky and adventurous and truly just reminded me of childhood in the best way possible. We follow a boy, Nobody Owens to be exact, who by chance and luck, is raised in a graveyard, by a collection of lovely ghosts, and has the childhood experience of learning lessons, getting into trouble, making friends and losing them, and eventually, growing up. It is a coming-of-age set against the backdrop of the spooky and supernatural, yet I could never find a story so poignant and real. It is truly the childhood experience, illuminated and collected within the pages. Neil Gaiman, you are a legend. I am so glad to have read this beautiful book.
