WOW! Did this just become my new favorite Riley Sager book? I think so! This was such a spooky atmospheric read. I really enjoyed all the creepy summer camp vibes and the mystery behind her friends' disappearances. As soon as I thought I figured out what was going on, it completely turned in another direction and by the end of the book I was blown away. I highly recommend giving this book a read!

I really enjoyed 'Home before dark', so after finishing that, I jumped directly into 'Last time I lied'. I don't know what happened, over saturation or enlightenment.. but I did not enjoy this one. It dragged for a long time and what started as an interesting premise, ended up lost in too much back and forth, talking, accusing and some kinda unbelievable turns. No character was likeable, and it became a bit too annoying reading that portrayal of female characters. In times also overly dramatic in my eyes. The twist in the end was at least something happening, at this point I mainly finished it for the sake of finishing... but it was not surprising at all, because the explanation for the happenings before, made not a lot of sense. I really dreaded the main character towards the end.
For a, I think long while, probably my last Sager book.

The Last Time I Lied is a fast paced gripping psychological thriller . After reading Final Girls by Riley Sager I was real excited to get a copy of this book and it did not disappoint. The setting of the book was creepy and eerie which fit very well with the story.An intriguing read which I would recommend to all mystery lovers
