I really enjoyed the dual pov and the sweet story of these two characters!

Honestly, when I first started reading the book I really wasn’t in to it. But the further I got into it, the more I couldn’t put it down. While the ending was perfect, I wish it had been more towards the middle so we could have read more about that would happen.

Yikes. I don't know what to do when you end up with a book so disgustingly predictable and mildly cute. Nothing happened. It was just a lot of indecision. I mean, seriously? It would've been better if they had ended as just friends. Okay, I'm kidding, they were cute, but still. The book could've been about 25 pages long. The amount of actual stuff happening was basically enough to fill 25 pages.

It was like a Ross and Rachel situation (F.R.I.E.N.D.S.). Just going on forever and ever. And you want them together. But it gets sickening after a bit. They're so stuck in this endless loop of dating anybody but each other and fighting. UGH. And well, they get so close a couple times, and then it falls apart...but instead of being cute or frustrating, it just feels stupid. Mac and Levi can't be just friends (clearly) cause they cause each other max pain and damage when dating somebody else. But they behave so awfully. It was hard to like them at times.

This book also starts when they first met and follows them throughout their high school career. It didn't work with me. They just dated other people, acted selfishly, and the whole thing felt very immature. I guess I don't like my romance centered on people who feel like middle schoolers. They were just so childish.

The only redeemable quality in my opinion is...umm....their connection over Buggy and Floyd. Yeah. That was pretty cute. I mean, the whole message of this book is that they are meant to be together. And that they can never be best friends. But honestly, I don't know how I feel about that. It's a messy topic. And it wasn't explored too well. Don't bother with this one.

PS. (Try Anna and the French Kiss or Lola and the Boy Next Door instead if you want best friends turning into a little more).

3.5 stars. It started REALLY GOOD, but then it got way too dramatic for my taste. Nevertheless, it was a entertaining quick read.
