I loved this book so much. Rue is amazing and she made me laugh so much. I really can't wait for book 2.

Rue finds out that she's a werewolf and she needs to find a mate. Her contenders are betas and alphas, but she doesn't want them as she won't submit to them. So she picks an omega contender. However, she's forced to live with all eight of them for a month to get to know them, but she won't changed her mind even when they try to coerce her. When it's time to finally make her decision, Rue does what she does best... adding to her problems.

I was kindly provided with an ARC by the author, but I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

I really enjoy M.J. Marstens writing style, but this story is not my favorite. The FMC called the events in this book "The Bachelorette with Wolves", and it's a fitting description.
I'm enjoying it even if it is unlikely and ridiculous. The problem is that it's so dubious it can come across as inane instead of entertaining.
Then there's the FMC who is 19 years old and still acts like she's 12, she's dense and ludicrous to a laughable degree. Which can be both entertaining and annoying.
Lastly, we have a group of seven potential mates four of which want to use her and have done dastardly unforgivable things in an attempt to trick or force the FMC into picking them as her mate, two who are actually okay guys but are going after her for all the wrong reasons, and the last one who is like the gay best friend who she's wants to pick for the sole purpose of not having to pick a mate because if she picks the gay best friend she can date whoever she wants in the future.
So basically, no two people want to be matched with each other for the purpose of having a loving relationship and everyone is using one another for their own selfish purposes.

Just a Phase is the first book in Not Another Teen Wolf series. Prudence...(wait, I can't use her government name!!!). Rue, was your average, well not so average, 19 year old. She was an only child, going to college, until her parents dropped a bombshell that she is a wolf. Not your ordinary wolf, a wolf with very special bloodlines, who is able to also maintain her human side . She must choose a mate from eight packs from around the regions. If The Bachelor meets Big Brother, but with wolves, this is that story!

First off, I would like to thank you for all of the laughs. Omg, every page has at least some content that would make you laugh hysterically. I also loved how fun, kindhearted, quirky, a bit naive (but not in the annoying way). The guys, OMG, different personalities is so much fun in one house. Seriously, can't wait for the next one!!

PSA: Drink & eat at your own risk. This book was hilarious, so much so that I may have choked on water. So you know just trying to help the rest of you out.

Rue is a great character- sassy, stubborn & full of opinions. She's also way too human to be a proper wolf. When she is told the truth of who she is, well the hilarity that ensues is comedic gold. At the end of the day I found myself rooting for Rue. The guys are all something else. Two or three of them genuinely like her but all of them have their own agendas so that ending...well it was a mild cliffhanger that had me cackling because I can only imagine....

If you love funny romcoms then this is the book for you. Trust me you'll love it.
