Poor Crankenstein starts off his favorite holiday with everything going wrong. From toothaches, to getting lost in the corn maze, all the way to receiving toothbrushes for a "treat", Crankenstein has had enough. Will his most favorite day ever get better?! Well, it does after some encouragement and much needed laughs from some good friends. As always, love Santat's illustrations and I look forward to reading the other Crankenstein books with my kiddo =)

I love the Crankenstein series. Kids can totally relate to how Crankenstein feels.

We are all Crankenstein. We've been there when nothing is going our way on our favorite day of the year when everyone seems to push us to our limit, when our best laid plans go awry, when we feel like an imposter, like a fake when we want to be spectacular. With their trademark humor and empathy, Samantha Berger and Dan Santat offer affirmations that cranky days happen - and our community will be there to support us. Also, it's so silly, funny, whimsical and delightful, begging readers to MEHRRR along with Crankenstein. We have all be there, my friend - and this book helps us all express that. It also wins wins for the best endpapers ever. I want all the candy to be made real. please and thank you.

This is such a fun book.  Crankenstein is a regular boy who is almost always cranky. This books is about what makes him such a crank, and what makes him laugh.  The picture and the story match and make this a laugh riot.
