Wow! just Wow!

won't kid you the thing that they were doing with Tim... I was ready to throw my tablet in anger away for it but glad i didn't and super glad I read the whole book and saw what happened with Tim

this was a extremely emotional issue and while I always did say that James Tynion is a fantastic writer ,I just can't stress enough how good the art was, In a story that's relaying the various characters emotions to the event that transpired Eddy Barrows and Alvaro Martinez bought the art to life and you could feel the pain of The characters...

Am I Over reacting? I think not.

with the bimonthly pattern of comic release that DC have started i see a pattern of sort developing with the week involving release of Titles such as Detective comics being the weeks you can't miss and Detective comics is arguably the best of those superb products of the week

I recently started reading comics last month and I started with DC Comics because of the Rebirth initiative. So far, the Detective Comics really gets into me, I mean, it has the right blend of good writing and artwork. I already liked the first arc, delivering a good story on building the team, and makes me want to read more of it. I liked Batman in this because it feels like this is how Batman should be written (I know I just started reading, but there's something on Tom King's writing of Batman that feels a little bit off. But to be fair, I still liked it). I also liked the liked the characters team up and how they are showcased in the comics. I applaud Tynion in this and I'm looking forward to more good stories from him.

Ah Rebirth strikes again, using some mysterious, all-powerful watcher figure to avoid actually taking a direction. This was truly fantastic until that fake-out robbed it of meaning. Like where this leaves Batwoman, Batman and Spoiler emotionally (especially that moment the latter two share) and am already bitter about the issue that will eventually make them forget it. I wish comics weren't so risk-averse.

Yes, what a great first arc for the new rebirth Detective Comics. I really liked this issue and it packed a great emotional punch. The art was spot on and I hope Barrows continues drawing for this and Ferreira keeps doing the coloring. This really makes me want to pick up the Night of the Monster Men arc with Nightwing, Batman, and Detective Comics that is coming out soon. An outstanding ending arc to one of my favorite DC comics at the moment.

The first arc "Rise of the Batman" which are issues #1-7 of Detective Comics: 4/5 Score. So good, and the best current Batman book in my opinion.
