Starting in Austria just before WWI and continuing until just before WWII, this book is a long historical novel. And a romance. I don't typically enjoy romances, but this one had enough history to keep me going, but the ending...not very fulfilling.

This book captivated my attention and put most of my other tasks on hold. There were many unexpected twists and turns in the plot which kept me guessing until the very last page.

I enjoyed reading it and learning about Austria in the WWI - preWWII periods, but the romance was a bit frustrating.

This book was absolutely amazing. I loved the historical insight into this time and to see how the characters faced the challenges. This book had me captivated the whole time and I loved the depths of emotion that the author depicted.
