Excellent writing of a 60's life..... farms (not the one you think of) , communes sort of. Struggle to find themselves. Sad too.

This is a coming-of-age story about a teenage girl, Harper, growing up in small-town B.C. It also pans back to her boyfriend's childhood in California. Harper ends up running away and living with her boyfriend on a hippie commune. The story kept me interested and the characters were believable. I found the ending surprising. Good first novel from this author.
