Many times I thought to myself “I will not survive reading this” and good to know I was 100% right

For the author’s first novel, it was really good! I enjoyed the prose and the poetic feeling it had. At times it felt a bit predictable, but overall a good read!

Phenomenal book. Queer love, loss, finding oneself through culture and discovering the intricacies within other people. Cannot recommend enough. Read in two sitting. 80 pages the first time, the remainder after. I could not put it down once I got to 150 pages in. It was invigorating, encapsulating, and so freaking good.

Thank you NetGalley and Saraband for the ARC.

To me, Andres N. Ordorica's 'How We Named the Stars' was written like an eulogy. It was equal parts poetic, heartbreaking, romantic and hopeful. I loved the concept and the story. The final few chapters absolutely wrecked me. I honestly didn't want this book to finish. It was so, so, so, sooooo good!

Andres!! I can't wait to read more of your work!

3.5 - really enjoyed this! Written very poetically, although some of the dialogue felt too stiff/formal for college students.

The author’s note really got me at the end
