Some parts were a little bit repetitive but a lot of the concepts went over my head the first (and second) times I read them so it was actually quite helpful! Definitely more interesting in the second half!

A fascinating collection of essays written by Neil deGrasse Tyson. If you are interested in space and Earth and how the universe comes together, this is an engaging selection of treats; a truly myriad selection of subjects are covered.

It's about much more than black holes. A humorous synopsis of modern astrophysics and related sciences.

Similar to a book of short stories. Some of these essays were silly, pointless, or stupid and some were thought-provoking and incredible. About half and half this ending in a better than okay and star-rating dead in the middle.

Interesting collection of scientific essays written in an easy to read and fascinating way to learn about space related topics. Was hoping for more cohesive prose but as a collection there were a lot of constantly repeated bits. NDT has obviously done a ton for scientific education but you can tell as the book progresses, his pretentiousness comes through and the last few essays were very annoying to read. Picking such small and pointless fights as he does is exhausting.

Unfortunately for me this book just didn't entertain me enough to get through it. I think if this book were assigned as scholastic reading i'd have welcomed the break from common text books, but as recreation I need something else.
