When I saw another book about Helen Keller on the new shelf for the Children's section of my public library, I had to indulge in what the Early Reader had in store!

Although it was not one of the better books (beginner or advanced) on Helen and Annie, it did introduce me to Polly Thompson, one of her closest friends other than Anne. She is a new character to the legend that is Helen Keller, whom I am looking to learn more about!

I would still include this book in my own Deaf Culture and ASL Library, even if I am not the biggest fan of it. Any exposure is exposure, and I hope it will be the first book in a series of books that encourages a child to learn more about the history of Deaf-Blind America!
