This is such a great story. I lost myself into it. I was beside Nicole the whole way, even if I didn’t agree with some of the things she did. Parts can be a little sensitive for the reader and dark, but it also highlights that child slavery was and is probably still being used today. Shocking!

The police and DI was starting to get on my nerves at times in this book! How did it take them so long? And why did he think he was always right? But all ends well. I don’t want to say too much as I dont want to be a ‘spoiler’ as it is a brilliant read with an interesting storyline. I devoured it in two days.

This is the first book I have read by Sibel and it won’t be my last. Some lovely characters and some awful evil characters. Best of both worlds. Brilliantly written. Fast paced as I just wanted answers and a easy read. Highly recommend. Not what I expected but throughally enjoyed it. A well deserved four stars from me. My first read of 2019! You can tell the author has put a lot of research and time into this one.

This book was nothing like what I was expecting but Oh. My. God. I was blown away.

Nicole’s husband died in a plane crash, didn’t he? So, when one morning she receives a photo of Mason with a message only the two of them know about, Mason surely couldn’t have sent the photo, I mean, he’s dead. Or is he?

Nicole wants answers but everyone she turns to, ends up dead. Could this be a coincidence? Do they know what actually happened to Mason and the plane crash?

There are many secrets but will Nicole expose them, before it’s too late?

This book is a gripping, secret driven & twisty suspense thriller that certainly took me for a ride and a half.

This was my first venture into a book by the uber talented Sibel Hodge and it most certainly won’t be the last.

This book gets all the stars from me!

I can highly recommend this book to YOU!

Sibel Hodge - you never ever disappoint! I was so incredibly lucky to receive an advanced copy of this book from TBC on Facebook and the author. I have been a big fan of this author for a while now and this book has absolutely cemented her place in my go to writers for suspense reads. This book is amazing - and so well written. What shocked me was after reading the authors notes at the end is that it is based on real life events. My goodness, some of the events of this book made me so mad and to think that they are really happening.

10 months ago Nicole Palmer became a widow. Her husband, a doctor in Africa, Mason was killed in a plane crash but no body has ever been found. When opening her mail before work one morning she receives a photo of Mason she has never seen before, along with a note that only her husband could have written. Is Mason still alive? This begins a roller coaster of events that out her life in danger but she needs to know the truth.

I could not put this book down and highly recommend to readers of this genre.

So Sibel Hodge is an author I’ve seen around a lot but this is actually the first novel of hers that I’ve read. This is also a complete stand alone novel so you don’t need to have read any of her other books.

The Disappeared is an action packed and drama filled thriller spanning across the world, with dastardly business men, corrupt police and brutal assassins. I could, in fact, probably see this making a very good action movie.

It touches on some quite harrowing subjects, unfortunately I can’t really fully go into the them in case of spoilers but Sibel Hodge really paints of picture of the corruption and brutality that goes on in poverty stricken countries like Africa.

It’s written in both third person and first person but only in Nicole’s POV which I have to be honest I’m not a huge fan of and at times I found her a little annoying but of course that’s just my opinion.

I’d recommend The Disappeared for anyone who loves action thrillers that dig that little bit deeper to have an emotional impact on the reader.

Taut, tense and topical. The choice of core plot point added credibility and currency to the story

What an adventure! I very much liked the strong female lead, and I could absolutely understand why she did the things she did (don't want to say too much because of spoilers!). A really exciting read.

Great read. Lots of action, dangerous scenarios and terrific villains. The subject matter added to my page turning fury, an area of the world and an dirty industrial secret I knew nothing about before reading this thriller.

Loved the pacing and and spent enough time with the characters to make them unique and memorable.Well done.
