I wish it would have gone into more detail about some of the survivors, or even just how insane everything was on board.

Fueling my son’s newfound obsession with the Titanic. He and I both enjoyed this book.

Not an actual review, notes for self. I read this to my son because he’s been interested in the Titanic since reading the Magic Tree House Titanic book. I kept checking in with him as we were reading, and he seemed fine, then major nightmares.

A great quick read for kids and even adults who are diehard Titanic history buffs. I’m one and almost anything on the topics gets me going. However it is overtly clear that the language and strategies of framing of the story are ripped right from the 1997 blockbuster. But the film was good so maybe that’s what made this book interesting and flow nicely. Also, diagrams and illustrations were great, and I especially enjoyed the little historical vignettes that were included in addition to the main body of work.

The sinking of this ship still fascinates many people still today including me!

Pretty interesting topic. Tons of kids at my elementary school come to the library looking for books about the Titanic. What a sad but eerily compelling true story in our history. I might have to re-watch the movie with Leo now. :)
