I received this book as part of one of The Blurt Foundation’s Buddy Boxes, which focus on mental health. It’s such an lovely little book help you learn how to boost your self-esteem & overall mental & physical well-being.

It didn’t take long to read as most of the pages are upbuilding quotes & the information pages are nice & concise. I really liked that there is some helpful websites included if you feel you need professional help regarding your mental health.

The only thing I did struggle a little bit with was many of the pages are coloured with coloured text & it made some of them a little hard to read ~ my eyes are quite sensitive to certain colours so it’s probably more of a me thing but just something to be aware of.

This isn't a novel, more a selection of inspiration quotes, list of self-esteem and general optimism. Ordinarily I think this is more the kind of book you pick up on a bad day to try and give yourself a boost by reading a few pages, rather than reading it all in one go.

I personally felt I knew quite a few of the suggestions given, but then I have to remember I am someone who has experienced mental health difficulties for a while. Furthermore due to one of my previous jobs, I have spent a lot of time exploring self supporting techniques. For someone a little newer to mental health difficulties or low self-esteem, I think there is some really beneficial information in this little book.
