A collection of short stories offers so much variety, and in that respect, this collection does not disappoint. I first read 30/30 in one of my college classes, and I'll never forget the rich discussions that some of these stories inspired. Of course, there are stories that went over my head, but there are also quite a few that are truly mesmerizing and introduced me to authors that I probably never would have discovered on my own. Some of my favorite stories: "What You Pawn I Will Redeem," "Cathedral," "Fiesta, 1980," "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas," "Boys."
