Good story, weak writing. Slow, overly descriptive, plodding language.

This was chilling. I couldn't sleep at times because of how scared I was. I remember reading the first chapter, it was around 1 am, and my first instinct was to put the book down and go to bed. I was petrified. Wendy's death really broke my heart. She was really doing well, and I'd hoped that she'd actually survive. Meredith was annoying at times, but I understand that she was just doing her job. I hated David's boss, the chief, or whatever. He was such a prick. I hoped he'd get his at some point, but I guess not. Overall it was one hell of a ride, and props to the author. I hope that one day I can say that I've read the entire Susan Shader series.

The second in the fabulous Susan Shader novels. Susan Shader is back, the psychic psychiatrist whose talents and training get her to the front door of yet another psychotic. This time the villain exsanguinates his victims, and the lines that Susan crosses to catch the baddie were phenomenal!

As always, the secondary characters are written with extreme skill and care.
