A big book about most of the iterations of Poirot in print/screen/audio. The first 3/4 of the book is really about Ms. Christie; not quite a biography but more biographical. The last 1/4 of the book is after Ms. Christie's death and the approach to transferrign her works to the big and small screen.

"...it was a bet with her sister, Madge, that paved the way for Poirot's debut."

"...the result of this bet would eventually transform Christie's life, and the world of detective fiction."

"... it was judged that 'Every reader must admit that the bet was won.' "

Very interesting, but quite a straightforward chronological retelling that will bore people who are not intensely invested in Agatha Christie's work as it is more of a collection of facts and small analysis of the vast material on Poirot than a narrative itself.
