Wow. First read of any Sherlock Holmes stories, although I have cultural knowledge. Full of surprises.

Sherlock is a kind-hearted, respectful individual, who always asks if Watson has time to spare. He actually reads as much less super-genius and more observant of thoughtful. Not particularly heavily autistic or queer coded either in my opinion.

That said, the stories have aged surprisingly well. Often not hard to solve, and surprisingly reminiscent of recent online or telephone scams, but enjoyable to hear unfold. A few elements are dated, but rarely in ways crucial to the mystery.

The narration is steady and the interspersed music is a lovely accompaniment.
