Her BFF is a demon.
Michaela caught her boyfriend cheating on her with a vampire and immediately ran to Nikki to talk about it. The energy in the atmosphere has been off and so she’s been feeling off and Halloween night is just making her extremely antsy and she’s begging her best friend to stay home from the club that she works at. But with her friend being a demon, she had to go because the masters were about to wake up….
“Disscension night was a night where the full moon was directly above us. Every single demon lost there humanity, but what was worse was that it was also the night their master surfaced and were given presents by their servants. Every single demon had a master.”
Not wanting to leave Nikki alone at work, Micaela decided to go there and she immediately feels the presence of something else. Something otherworldly. And she feels like it’s the Big Bad. “Kieran Raoul.”
He was as ancient as they come. And as gorgeous as they come. A legend really.
This quick novella had so much comic relief in it. Micaela is hilarious and feisty. There’s vampire hunting and killing. Fated mates. And for how short this book was, it had so much world building that I felt like I was there. Which can sometimes be hard with a novella sized story. I loved it so much and I wish it did not end but it ended on the most adorable HEA ever.

Tijan has a new Halloween novella, Micaela's Big Bad, and it's paranormal, sexy, funny and addicting. Demons, vampires and shifters are real and they are walking around with humans. Micaela Nadeem is an Energist but she doesn't know how powerful she is. Until Halloween night and she meets Kieran, someone she heard stories about growing up. A Legend. Someone she never thought she'd ever meet. Yet, here she is. And not only is he gorgeous and she's attracted to him, his beast and hers are mates. Vampires are trying to take over but Kieran and Caley aren't going to let that happen. Now that they are near each other, they are stronger together. It's a short story, but it feels like more!

So even though the book really had some Halloween vibes, I expected more Halloween descriptions or Halloween decorations to be mentioned in the book. This is the only reason why I’m giving this novella 4 stars and not 5.

There is just something about Tijan's choppy, quirky, unique writing that I just FLOVE to death. It's almost like she writes thoughts instead of telling a story. It's much more realistic and engaging, and she's literally the only author that I've seen do it flawlessly.
Micaela's Big Bad was a quick, sexy, exciting PNR that left me wanting more BUT also completely satisfied. It was a Halloween Novella, so yea, it wasn't flushed with details or a drawn out plot but it was interesting AF. It was quick, dirty (in Tijan's not clean, but not detailed kind of way), and addicting.
Micaela senses energy around her and is known as an energist. On Halloween she senses a Big Bad...a supernatural that has BIG, BAD energy. After finding her boyfriend cheating, heading to her friend's house, witnessing her friend acting shady, and then going to her friend's job to confront her, Micaela finds herself in the presence of the Big Bad, Kieran Raoul. She finds out some shocking revelations which results in hilarious reactions and some swoony moments.
I loved the storyline, the little bit of action, the banter, the sexyiness Tijan manages to portray without details, the budding romance with a twist, and that epilogue...
LOVED that epilogue.
Insane how a novella can pack such a punch...especially as a PNR.

Outstanding
Tijan does not disappoint at all. I was hooked from the very beginning. Loved every bit of this novella and I did not want it to end.
