Great ending to a very intriguing series. Well except for the fact that Chloe did not end up with who I wanted her to. *sigh*

My final take on this trilogy is that it is very entertaining, both at age 14 and at age 24, but Thomson spends too much time inside Chloe's head. I want more of a sense of the world. She did a great job of convincing me that Chloe was the right leader, but I wanted to see more of how the Mai lived and their interactions with each other, something I thought the tv show a better job of. I did like the ending. It was very solid and didn't leave me wishing for an extra chapter.

SpoilerI really hated Amy throughout the entire trilogy, and I loved Alyec, so I'm pretty heartbroken they ended up together. And while I don't like Brian I did see why Chloe did so I thought that was cute.

Ok what??? No no no no no no a este final que no tiene sentido y todas las parejas desarmadas y rearmadas de otro modo fue un bajón la verdad que no era el cierre que esperaba se la pasó hablando de chloe intentando recuperar materias y al final todo fue apresurado.

Its a shame that for whatever reason Thomspson didn't continue with the series because it feels so unfinished with the obvious lead ins to a next novel that never happened. Still, in all the series was interesting and entertaining.

This was super boring comparatively. All the character were out of wack and you’re telling me that in FIVE THOUSAND YEARS no Mai has ever died for a human

The series got better as it went on, making it great that I got it in an anthology. She ended it great, giving me statisfication, without being cheesy.

The chosen was probably the best of the series. There's a little more action and Chloe starts to take on more responsibility as opposed to whining about being to young and which boy she should choose and the fashion business career she may have to give up. If it sounds like I thought the characters were just a wee bit shallow you would guess correctly. It really was an ok story and it's probably a really good book for YA girls.
