I was recommended this book recently and have to say it was even better than the very high recommendation I got for it. For some this book will be eye-opening, for others it’s everything they felt but articulated better than they could ever hope to and sadly others the reflection of reality they still continue to deny (Though maybe it’s a chip in helping breaking that denial). Love how well she breaks everything down so thoroughly without writing in inaccessible academic language.

Although sometimes hard to follow because of its academic nature, bell hooks' series of essays are enlightening and well worth your time. I learned a lot about the vast complexities and causes of racism, white supremacy, sexism, and patriarchy in our culture and history.
