Great read! This series has been fun, light-hearted, with good humor, but a great mix of intrigue to keep the reader thinking. I loved Poppy, our heroine. She knew her mind and wasn't afraid to use it. She grew up believing that a Prince from Russia was the man of her dreams, using a non-existent Duke of Drummond as a buffer between any potential suitors. When the Duke shows up Poppy has a new problem on her hands, a real engagement to the Duke when she still believes that the Prince is that man for her.

Hilarious twists and turns while Poppy and Nicholas, the Duke, negotiate their way through a "pretend" engagement and the truth behind a British spy. Enjoyable series and I look forward to reading more!

The first 100 pages were the best, those had me giggling. Later on it was also good, just not as funny. It started to take itself too seriously then. I have never really been overly fond of historical spy novels, sure I can enjoy them but they always feel too fake.

Poppy is a spinster and is so old as 21, omg, horrid (and here I just got used to older heroines where that seems more normal.) Anyway, Poppy wants to marry only for true love and she is in love with a Russian prince.

Nicholas is a spy for the crown and gets told to marry Poppy so he sets his course. And falls for her because she is impossible and wants nothing to do with him. I guess he likes a challenge.

They fight the attraction. But that will not work when they want each other. Of course she wants her prince, and Nicholas tries to avoid a certain princess. Btw, I wanted to wring that bitch's neck at the end. NOT COOL! Ugh, I hate women like that.

Oh the spying, yes it's about a painting and Poppy wants to spy too. Honestly I could have done without the spying. But it was not bad.

Cute and fun.

OMG I was worried that this book would not be better or as good as her first "When Harry Met Molly" but it was just as good! I absolutely loved Nicholas and Poppy! I'm soo excited to read the next one "Cloudy with a Chance of Marriage"!!

I was powerless to resist this title. I didn't even have to read the blurb before I knew I had to read it. I thought I'd read the infamous "just the first chapter before bed," and didn't come up for air until page 162. It's whirlwind fun, with engaging characters, plenty of whimsy, a bit of intrigue, and a one-eyed corgi. We even get a pompous Russian nobility bonus. All in all, a delightfully charming novel.

First read by the author for me, and I really enjoyed it. I love that the heroine and hero didn't just give up on each other like so many other books have them do. I liked the chemestry between each other, and how the story just flowed.

Poppy, is content to be a spinster until she can find a man worthy enough to love, and one who returns that love. So she has created a fake husband to protect herself, however she is shocked when the fake husband, is very real and she is at a loss at what to do since he knows of her scheme and traps her into a real betrothal, one she can't turn and walk away from. Nicolas needs a fiancee, especially since recently he was named one of the Prince Regent's "impossible bachelors", and Poppy is perfect especially with the scheme he has recently found out that involves him. Nicholas never expected to find Poppy full of life and spirit and will do anything he can do keep her in his life....Dukes To The Left, Princes to the Right is the second in the Impossible Bachelors by Kieran Kramer. I have recently discovered this author, and I have been thoroughly entertained by each of her books that I have read so far. I loved the story line to this story.....the characters were lively and charming, the plot was engaging and the interaction between Poppy and Nicolas was definitely satisfying to this reader. I just loved this style of writing this author has, and this story was riveting and I was left at the end of it feeling fully satisfied!!!! A Wonderful Read!

Love this series. Although this book isn't as steamy.. as "When Harry Met Molly" it still has its romance. It's cute, witty and sooo much fun.

I got to 50 pages and then hurled this across the room. I don't know why, but this really didn't work for me. I hated the heroine, the hero annoyed me and I had zero interest in how it all worked out for them, so I cut my loses and ran!
