I am not normally one for pregnancy stories but this one was so solid and sweet and really felt like a story about a family as much as it did a romance novel. It was fun in the same ways as the first one but more grounded and real. I loved TK in the first one and though at times he felt unrealistic, I really enjoyed where his story went.

Also, I'm genuinely shocked and how much better and more solid this was than Martin's debit novel. She really fixed so much of what was wrong with Intercepted. This is definitely an author who is only going to get better and better.

Felt like this was the draft that got printed instead of the final product. I had to re-read sections thinking I wasn't getting it, only to realise it didn't make sense. Didn't like the main characters (except for Ace).

Alexa Martin has grown so much as an author between books one and two in this companion series. Poppy and TK have wonderful chemistry. I love how headstrong Poppy is. I also appreciate that Alexa Martin touches on a tough topic that is talked about in football. Overall, I'm greatly looking forward to book three.

I received an ecopy of this through netgalley; however, all opinions are my own.

3.5 stars. I enjoyed this sequel, but it lacked something I can't quite put my finger on? Way less drama and hashtags (thankfully) than the first book, but maybe a lack of character depth? How do we hear nothing more about her parents? Anyway, super swoon worthy couple, and I will still read book three, Blitzed, because I'm just a sucker for a sports romcom.
