I found lots of bits of wisdom in the 4 different interviews that are contained in this volume. Baldwin is more someone I know of than writer who I actually know all that much about but these were a good way to deepen my understanding of Baldwin.

Very humble and inciteful interviews by one of the greatest writers ever.

A pretty short book of 4 interviews ('61, '84, '84, and '87: the official last interview) but chock full of his captivating, incisive brilliance.

My brain cannot fathom the genius of James Baldwin. He says things off the cuff in an interview which would take years of work for another writer to come up with.

His writing always feels like a breath of fresh air. He confirms what we as Black Americans, Black PEOPLE, know to be true in the deepest parts of ourselves but may have not had the chance to fully bring to the surface to examine. Always emit reading his words. A brilliant mind.
