There’s not much to say about it. It’s generic trashy cishet erotica with a romanticized but unhealthy kink dynamic. There are thousands of books like this, but hey at least this one has a print edition.
Graphic: Sexual assault, Sexual content, Sexual violence, Toxic relationship, and Sexual harassment
Moderate: Misogyny, Rape, Sexism, Violence, and Vomit
Minor: Self harm and Suicide

I wish I had not finished this. Some really great erotic scenes but overall not good romantic writing. Like I just don’t believe these people know enough about each other to have any feelings beyond lust, which makes the rest of the story unbelievable and at times gross. Things that gave me the ick here:
- her BROTHER calling her “baby girl” (can we all just collectively stop using baby girl? I’m begging)
- halfway through (when I first was like “okay maybe we don’t finish”) he flies off the handle because…. She called a cab instead of using the driver on a night out with her girls? Please.
- gratuitous sexual assault plot line
- gratuitous fatphobic comments about staying skinny for a dumb pair of jeans and only eating salads around her love interest
- literally no scene negotiation. He’s supposedly an experienced dom and yet. I mean generally just no communication. Like he proposes and THEN they talk about whether they want to have kids etc? I hate it here
