I was somewhat disappointed with this book. I was really excited to read it at first but then I just found myself uninterested in the plot and characters.

A beautiful, reflective story about outgrowing your hometown, reckoning with faith and uncertainty, and being brave enough to pursue what resonates with you.

The relationship with Elias and Cassie is so cute, but also the story is deeper than just the two of them.

I liked it, but it felt barely sufficient enough for me to call it "good". 7/10

I'm not entirely sure what this book was about...part YA romance, part paranormal/ghost story, part meditation on climate change. Overall I found it short and sweet and I was sad to see it end! A new to me author that I picked up on a whim because the cover was so pretty. Definitely worth a listen especially for fans of books like Invisible ghosts by Robyn Schneider.

3⭐️⭐️⭐️. A very quick listen (4.5 hours) that didn’t quiiiite work for me. YA romance/coming of age/random commentary on climate change that didn’t quite jive. This author has beautiful writing but the story to me felt disjointed, although I did like our protagonists Cassie and Elias. Recommend if you want something quick with the potential to be thoughtful. I picked this audio up because this book has been on my shelf for some time and I haven’t felt pulled to read it.

It was cute. I was confused on some of the things it just seemed forced but over all it was a god one. I do like the idea of someone lost in their faith and another who has faith in something that isn’t the “norm.”

Plus bonus points to having a priest who is basically a cult leader in the making. Nice touch.
