Once again, bias. I love Sailor Moon. Always have, always will. This edition is the cherry on top of an already amazing series. It’s downright gorgeous and easy to read for my aging eyes. Highly recommend for any first time reader or long time fan.
When COVID started, it was hard for me to focus on reading, so I didn't read for a whole month. When I finally picked up a book again, I thought I was getting ready to start - and then my younger brother passed away. Before I went home for the services, my boyfriend tried to figure out ways to keep my mind occupied and he suggested that I read comic books. I decided that I would start reading the Sailor Moon manga again because it is a familiar story and I loved it when I was little. I find the nostalgia to be comforting because it reminds me of simpler times and brings back memories of my brother and I watching Toonami every afternoon. It has certainly helped me as I begin to heal.
If you're a Sailor Moon fan, this should be the only edition of the manga to consider. The Eternal Edition is absolutely beautiful with the holographic cover and color photos which mark the beginning of each chapter. Without a doubt, I like the manga more than the anime because I find the story to be more mature. The translations are updated and what I particularly like about this edition is that there are cultural notes in the back to help the audience understand the story better.

A classic that feels very much like a product of its time. The art style isn’t perfect, but it sure does have style. And the colors on the full color pages are just *chef’s kiss*
