This was a very cute book. I love when magical buildings are involved in the plot. The characters were fun and felt real. And the magic system was really interesting.
I will say the third act really slowed the pacing, and I felt the random discussion amongst certain characters about having a writing slump felt a little too on the nose. But overall I really enjoyed this quick read and highly recommend it for fans of cozy historical fantasy.

I really did enjoy this. It's been a while since I've been able to fly through a dense book. For the most part, it was cosy and sweet with enough tension to prevent literary diabetes. It felt a bit like dark fairytale historical fiction. The characters, with the exception of the villain, was a joy to know and so easy to love. I will definitely be continuing the series.

This was adorable while also kinda dark.
The romance is slow burn and very proper but cute. The magic was really interesting.

A fun cozy fantasy. There was actually more of a plot than I thought there would be. It was a bit of a slow start, but I enjoyed this one once it got going.
