This book is so similar to the first, I was hoping it would be a bit different to make it more interesting.
1. Girl who has no self esteem & thinks she doesn't deserve love
2. Absentee mother of the lead male
3. The main character lies to the people they love the most
4. The boy randomly liking the girl, even with no prior interactions and with no huge growth through the whole story

I think these books are cute and remind you how dramatic & emotional the teen years can be. Everything feels like the end of the world, and I think Kelsie makes a good example of their actions having consequences.

I loved this book as much as the first one! this time we get into jordan's world and I love her hardworking dedicated personality and she is so good for Kai as a person and he is good for her too. I feel for them, for different reasons obviously, but I am glad that in the end they don't lose one another. It was sweet and sassy and entertaining to read. And I cannot wait til I can read the next book in the series! I just wish we had gotten more Kai POV!
