The City of Lights beckons, and Magnus Bane answers. Fashion, fun, and work fill his Parisian days, but a charming encounter throws him into a daring mission: saving the Royal Family. Of course, his presence ruffles feathers amongst the Parisian vampires, leading him to juggle both royal and undead politics – all in a single, thrilling night. No Magnus adventure is complete without a touch of mischief, and this one doesn't disappoint!

This novella perfectly captures the essence of The Bane Chronicles – a self-contained story with Magnus at the center of laughter, adventure, and perhaps even a little wish fulfillment. The narration shines again, making Magnus more real than ever. I'm definitely getting the hang of these delightful tales!

Blajankshyg it was a funny book, good read. (Add a Herondale pls, I could feel the Herondale-lessness from Pakistan.)

French Revolution, Marie Antoinette (dear lord that woman was annoying and an idiot), vampires (not the kind kind, but the ones that will kill you if you so much as step wrongly), flirting (Axel and Magnus were so adorable together and I wish for more moments), I had such a laugh that he named the monkey after his friend and I wished I could have seen his reaction to it, I loved seeing Paris even though it was a bit dreary what with the whole revolution and unhappiness everywhere. This was a fun story, though a bit less fun than the first one. Still I do want to continue reading, thankfully I got a whole book of stories! *cheers*

It was so entertaining! I've always loved the Era of the French Revolution, and this was outstanding! Downworlders in France!? Could that be any better? And the Axel-Magnus "relationship" what an interesting point in the story. I really enjoyed it. Sure it was a little inaccurate to the actual events, but besides that, it was a very good mini-story. I liked this one better than 'What Really Happened in Peru.' This was much better and more entertaining. I'm enjoying this mini series. The only thing is that the stories keep ending with a mystery! I'd like to know what happened. Overall, it was a cute and nice story to read. I'm glad that Calre has been so involved with her fans. She's writing a book series, and also this mini series! It's a great story. Worth the read.

I think I don't need to read any more of the Magnus series. I like him as a character when he's interacting with the others, but on his own he seems too schticky and lacks depth.
