This book isn't bad, but it's so unmemorable that every time I see it in my Libby and Hoopla catalogs I find myself rereading the synopsis and remembering I've already read this. It's happened at least 4 times.

4.75 stars. Wow. This is the best ya romance I've read, I think. Idk, maybe I have a terrible memory, but it was definitely the best in a while. It had COMPLEX and RELATEABLE main characters that weren't just cardboard cut-outs, who actually were pretty healthy and talked to each other about their feelings! A miracle! It was charming, it was fun, it was like a warm hug, I was invested, I was smiling, it was simply a wonderful time! We also had family feels and food, which I will never say no to! Ahh, I love when a book surpasses my expectation. This was the perfect fluffy, fun YA read that I needed.

This book gave me “Better Than the Movies” vibes. The writing was honestly so good - I wasn’t expecting this book to have such real emotional depth. It was also just a great romcom…funny, tension-filled, layered. Highly recommend!

fluffiest story i’ve ever read involving enemies to lovers, a private high school, lovely depictions of how social media influences literally everything, family businesses, and some really yummy food !!!!! :D

This story follows Pepper and Jack. Pepper is a top student who secretly runs her moms business corporate account which comes under fire when they are accused of stealing a small time cafe’s recipe for a grilled cheese sandwich. Unbeknownst to Pepper and Jack the pair are fighting one another online whilst falling for the other in real life.

Sooo this was a great read which I could’ve probably done quicker if my week wasn’t as busy and i weren’t doing a readalong however, it was a great read! I give it 4.5 stars out of five because it was just missing something for me, I’m just not sure what. The characters are highly relatable in their demeanour and their relationship is definitely cute. I do recommend it especially if you’re in a reading slump, it’s fast paced and easy going.
