Admittedly, I was not expecting to like this book, let alone enjoy it as much as I did. It has certainly opened my eyes to different writing styles and story concepts that I had never before considered.

Non Pratt has a remarkable middle-grade writing style that, despite its aim towards a young audience, is captivating for older readers such as myself. The simple language and structure used by Non Pratt combined with the short and quick chapters of the novel allowed me to sweep through this book in one day.

I loved the unique premise of this story and its focus on the power of friendship throughout – definitely a topic that should be covered more in Young Adult Fiction! And somehow, Non Pratt was able to squeeze so much emotion (from happiness to grief) in such a short book, yet in such a detailed and fulfilling way.

My only issue with this novel was the characters. Non Pratt was able to perfectly relay the relationship dynamics of the characters, yet when it came to the actual characters, I felt as though they lacked character development and when they had been developed, it felt somewhat stereotypical, artificial and devoid of substance.

Overall, I found this book to be a sweeping and heart-warming read, the perfect novel for one-sit read or for someone struggling to enjoy reading. I loved almost every moment of this book and I’m so excited to get my teeth into some more Non Pratt novels.

“I know why we all fell apart, that's just what happens. But things that fall apart can be put back together, right? Even if there's a piece missing.”

This was such a lovely story of friendship which showed that no matter how far time made you drift apart, if your friendship was meaningful, you'll always eventually come back together.

A beautiful, poignant, heartwarming story of a group of friends. Also a really lovely concept to design this book to help more people to read by its large text and heavy paper.

My one complaint is that it most certainly wasn't long enough!!

A cheeky little super YA book literally read in a couple of hours

Not usually a big YA fan but found it on the free Luba ray shelves at work.

We have 5 school friends who have grown up and lost touch all brought back together for a reunion but one is missing..

Quite a cute little read that shows that friendship can last a lot longer than just knowing people from school!

I really appreciate how much work Barrington Stoke are putting in to make their dyslexia friendly books appealing. The covers are attractive, the paper is thick and creamy - they are just nice books to hold in your hands. They have also worked with some of the best YA authors writing today - Non Pratt, Sita Brahmachari, Keren David, Phil Earle, Cat Clarke and more.

This is a lovely book - touching and heart-warming and real.

The 'Super-readable' format is well done and a good initiative. The story itself is a great read and has just the right about of tension for a story about estranged friends bonding over a night of memories in a time capsule.
