What a great collection of stories about different ailments that inflict people. It brings awareness to so many of these that the reader is not aware of. And it's eye opening.
The fact that the proceeds are donated to Movember is a bonus to buying this book.

Order. Control. Deceit - Murphy Wallace
For a short story this had all the feels and I quickly connected with Kevin, especially Kevin. OCD is a debilitating condition and Ms Wallace showed how the effects can disrupt and devastate someone’s life. And that twist at the end! I so hope we hear more from Kevin the future.

Nap King - Danielle Dickson
I was totally captivated with this story. A well rounded short story, I loved Jack and Facility. A disorder that no many people know about, narcolepsy had knocked Jack’s confidence around love interests. I absolutely loved that all his friends had his back. Danielle is a new author to me and will now certainly be checking out her other books.

Suck & Sweet - Maria MacDonald
A sweet story with many layers, I was routing for Noah and Gracie. Heartache has lined both characters lives until the point they rekindle their friendship. Little Pipper, Gracie’s daughter was an absolute star and just had me beaming whenever she appeared.

Diary of a Teenage Queen - Samantha Lewis
If being a teenager isn’t tough enough, a young lad has to contend with his sexuality and Tourette’s. This educating story told in Diary form, was heart warming and inspiring.

Don’t Sugar Coat It- Anna Edwards
Alex didn’t like sharing with the world that he had diabetes and this proves to cause a misunderstanding between him and his new date, Chaira. Totally ignored real life to read this story. I was hooked throughout - it proved to be a very satisfying read.

Deep Breaths - Ally Vance
Asthma has ruled Will’s life and jaded him against others. A chance meeting with his neighbour, Drew, leads to an unexpected relationship. Swept away with story, I felt Will’s panic felt I was there right with him and he struggled against his asthma. I loved seeing Will let his guard down and take control. The chemistry between Will & Drew was off the charts!

Love in the Dark - Claire Marta
Kara is indebted to Darius. Since losing his sight Darius has learnt to heighten his other senses and it was fascinating to read how he ‘saw’ the world now. This story ticks so many boxes. Characters with sizzling chemistry and a dark underlying element, it had me on the edge of my seat.

Faith No More - Victoria L James
How my heart split in two for Sonny. Sonny was a survivor of the terrorist attack, however the haunting memories of that day have meant that whilst he functioned as a human being, he didn’t actually live, after that day. Such an horrific event and being a Londoner myself, it’s so ingrained in my memory. I shed tears reading this story, so deep and tragic were Sonny’s memories and how my heart rejoiced when Kellie showed up in his life. A truly emotional story.

The Missing Piece - K L Humphreys
Since losing his leg in a car accident, Tyler life has been one heartache after another and ones that he blames himself for. He is ashamed and doesn’t feel whole and therefore angry with life. Little Lannie is a little gem and I loved her banter with Ty and had my fingers crossed that he would knock down those walls and live again.

Pencilled Hearts - KA Sands
What a beautiful and endearing story. My heart swelled with love for Lewis, Jack and little Ollie. What with the death of his wife and challenges he faced with Ollie’s autism, Lewis needed a new start with supportive people around him. A gripping story and one that will always be remembered.

***I will continue to up date when I’ve read each story***
