*read as single issues*
I really liked Jane Foster as Thor and so I was very excited that she now has her own series again although in a different role. I quite enjoyed these issues. They mostly deal with Jane finding out how to deal with this new role, she learns about her new powers and gets a new sidekick (Mr. Horse who is great) and has to somehow balance her new responsibilities with everything else that goes on in her life. I thought the story was interesting with some good villains and of course Jane is a great character. The art is also beautiful. So overall a really solid read.

An excellent new beginning for Jane Foster, one that keeps the Marvel/Asgardian mythos active and interesting. (This would be a great jumping-on point for new Janiacs, too.) In the wake of the War of the Realms (which you need not have read, for all of the consequences consequential to this story are adequately and at length, explained), roles are shifting and Jane's new role as last of the old, first of the new vanguard of Valkyrie is awesome and unique. Fans of Scrapper 142 and Dani Moonstar, you're okay. Fans of Brunnhilde & Heimdall, maybe not so much. Old villains and new villains and fun stuff and something goofy - good art and heartfelt storytelling, goddammit, it's like we got a comic going here!
