fun, i think the wordplay would better for a young reader, it's somewhat lost on the toddler crowd especially when the pronunciations don't match

(4.5) Very clever book that had to take a lot of planning (I wonder what pages were edited out) I especially liked the mole hugging the avocado on the guaca-mole page. I noticed that 'trumpet' did not have any letters in a different color or font in the text, yet it was in the title. After the cute "twist" ending, that made complete sense! Students could try to create their own similar sentences and drawings.

This book is a lot of fun! The text is full of cute puns/wordplay. The illustrations include lots of clever surprises. Delightful.

A silly story about a girl looking for her trumpet. On each page the main character asked a question, which contains a word in red of the answer in the picture. A fun search and find addition to a silly story.

This book missed the mark with its intended audience. I'm not sure children reading this would get the puns.
