Adorable festive fake dating romance set in NYC. What could be better? This was sweet and endearing and cosy. I loved it. Grumpy boss. Perky intern. Not quite enemies to lovers. Secret Santa. Cute!!! Zero spice.

This book totally missed what it was trying to be. Yes asher was grumpy, he tolerated olivia but that is a really low bar isn't it?!?! He constantly kept treating her as someone he could not care less about. The sexual harrasment was dealt with pretty badly on top off this. Like asshole you promised her she could call you, and what did you do?! NOT PICK UP. If i promised to someone close to me they could call me if they were in danger (in this case with a solid threat being there!) i would pick up the phone everytime, doesn't matter if we are exes, enemies or something else. I would pick up the phone EVERYTIME no exeptions.

Banter? Check.
Fake dating? Check.
Grumpy X Sunshine? Check.

What a fun, fast paced Christmas read! Set in NYC during Christmas time, Olivia is the embodiment of Christmas cheer and her boss, Asher, is the actual Grinch. When Olivia realizes that Asher is more grumpy than usual due to a breakup, she decides she's going to help him by fake dating him to make his ex jealous.

Olivia and Asher's chemistry was off the charts. The banter that they had was honestly some of the best I've read when it comes to a rom com enemies to lovers. I seriously couldn't put this book down! It did hit some heavier topics, which was actually a pleasant surprise to me, considering most Christmas books are just fluff.

All in all, a great Christmas read.

I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH.
never has a book caught me so fast. LIKE I WAS LITERALLY KICKING MY FEET IN THE FIRST TEN PAGES ALREADY.

the banter was so WELL DONE. it was a REAL romcom and some romcom books are just not romCOM but this was WHOLESOME.
they were so cutiepatootie. made me giggle, kick my feet and sob.

also can we talk about how amazing and fucking iconic Olivia is. I LOVE HER. my elle woods variant fr. her whole energy was so funny and sunshiney and SHE HAD FIRE BRO.
