A bit havier than the past book, but just as entertaining and marvelous. Bear was an amazingly human character in a story that explores the darkest side of human nature and how traditions can be the base for tyrany. This fantasy series is aiming higher with each book!

I was so glad to get back to Petit's story and see the previous two volumes converge here. I think Bear's backstory was more interesting than the prose bits in either Petit or Half-Blood. The art continues to be fantastic. This series is such a great callback to old cautionary folk tales, while being its own unique narrative. Still a pretty big content warning on the gore, though.

Still like the style and the story. A bit too long at times. Not a huge fan of the "written" parts... Nice touch but they're too long and stop the story.
