This book was a surprise! I was really not looking forward to this because Cindy is my least favourite character, but boy did she surprise me! I actually felt this book had more depth than most do in the Thoroughbred series. I liked the irony of Cindy having to deal with a person who is a mirror image of every Thoroughbred character as a young kid - someone who is convinced they have talent but hasn't proven themselves yet. I liked that the main character played the "villain" in this story.
It was also a heart wrenching story as Cindy comes to terms with her limitations after injury and I felt it added a lot of depth as to why she was acting like a villain in not wanting to give Wolf a chance.
