never thought i’d finish a book this fast, but here we are?
the book was alright, but i’m not gonna lie, i cringed MANY times.
i didn’t really liked the main character (millie) because i thought that she was kinda dull. the book was a bit too fast, too : they hate each other for five chapters, then they’re friends, then wdym they’re in love?
the writing was a bit flavourless, and i didn’t really liked it.

this was so cute! i liked the characters, the relationship was sweet, but it was nothing to write home about. the ending was.. sudden, the pacing was a little iffy, though overall it was a good read.

“'So I'm your sort of mess, then,' she says, and I reach into my pocket, pulling out the rose quartz.
'You are,' I tell her, pressing the rock into her palm. She looks at it for a long moment before lifting her head to meet my eyes.
'This is a very fine rock,' she says at last, her voice a little tight, and I grin back at her.”
Ahhhhhh, this was just TOO CUTE!!! I love the chemistry between Millie and Flora; they have the sweetest banter and moments that would make anyone swoon. I really needed something light and fluffy, and this did just the trick! The only thing that I didn't love was the forced conflict towards the end, but the author didn't draw that out too long, and we got a really nice confession scene that was movie worthy.

This was a really cute book with a (very) minimal enemies-to-lovers trope. There were a lot of super cute scenes and I loved the relationships that developed in this book. It was also very fun(ny).
My main problem starts and ends with the ending: I discovered that I prefer some kind of resolution/epilogue-thingy where you find out how the events of the book affected the life of the characters.
This book had an ending I wasn't satisfied with.
I would still very much recommend this if you're just looking for a fun, queer contemporary set in a boarding school.
