I haven't read the first wolfe book, so keep that in mind, will you?

I used to be like you. I had read The book thief, I had loved the book thief, and i was looking for more Zusak. I found Fighting Ruben Wolfe, and I was happy for that. Well, straighten up chap, I've got some news for you.
1. Fighting ruben wolfe is the 2nd book in the wolfe trilogy. That means that there is a book you should read that comes before this one.
2. Where The book thief was cute and cry-able, the wolfe cronicles (can i call them that?) are not. They're incredibly short, and from what I've gathered from this book, not really interesting or great. Obviously the fact that these are far earlier works than Thief has something to do with it, but ... yeah.

WAY better than book 1, and it was just as quick to read. I underlined so many sentences that hit home to me, but I can't say that is a great book because it is narrated through a 15-year-old boy.

I'm still going to read number 3.

I read this book in one day. Like all of Zusak’s books, it broke my heart then put it back together again.

If I hadn't read The Book Thief and I Am the Messenger first, this book may have had a higher rating. This is an author who definitely got better with practice. This book is too straightforward for me after having read his latest two.

The first novel from the author of "The Book Thief". Not a bad book at all for his first novel. I was sucked into the story of the two fighting brothers that stick it out together through thick and thin. A rather enjoyable easy read.
