c'est un livre très court (moins de 100 pages), que je conseillerai aux personnes avec encore peu de connaissances/avis/idées sur le feminisme. après ça reste assez simple, le + radical c'est le titre, et c'est très binaire. l'intersectionnalité est très vite fait évoquée mais pas du tout approfondie, donc pour les personnes qui veulent découvrir le féminisme avec ce livre jvous invite fortement à lire aussi des livres écrits par des personnes sexisées racisées, LGBT+,....

globalement ça m'a rien appris pcq ça gratte juste la surface mais c'est facile à lire et ça peut  probablement apporter des pistes de réflexion intéressantes aux personnes pas encore bcp renseignées sur le féminisme !

This book isn't extremely profound - as the author acknowledges in the afterword - but it is a great introduction into misandry. I first read this book last year, digitally, and have been meaning to pick up a physical copy. Hopefully, I can now make my friends actually read this!

This book brought up a handful of really great points about women's rights. And despite the title, it didn't actually seem to be making a case for hating men. Sure, the author lauds herself as a misandrist, but then she also discusses the nuances of why women will say things like "I hate men," given the social context, and makes a case for the 'reclaiming' of the term.

"The accusation of misandry is a mechanism for silencing women, a way of silencing the anger-sometimes violent but always legitimate-of the oppressed standing up to their oppressors."

If they are going to call us sexist and misandrists anyway, why not at least make it true?

Here I expected to be picking up a wildly controversial book only for the majority of it to just be common knowledge.

I don't really have much else to say. There was nothing new or revolutionary said in this book. I Hate Men is just a short little conglomeration of typical white feminist takes, only with an edgy title to make it seem more contentious than it actually is.

Recommended for people who've been living under a rock for the last 20 years. And maybe also people who don't know much about feminism.

Ce court essai brûle d'un féminisme retentissant. Il est malheureux qu'affirmer sa misandrie (sa haine des hommes) ait attiré tant de haine à son autrice alors que la misogynie (la haine des femmes) s'affiche sans vergogne partout. Pauline Harmange commence par un constat aussi nécessaire que douloureux : non, la misandrie n'est pas simplement l'inverse de la misogynie, tout simplement parce que la seconde est soutenue par un système complet ancré dans les mœurs et les institutions. A partir de là, difficile de faire autre chose que de hocher la tête au rythme des courts chapitres qui dessinent les contours de haine qui s'exprime rarement mais dans le silence de laquelle se déploie un vaste réseau de sororités. 
CW : étant donné le sujet, il est souvent (voire constamment) question de sexisme et de violences sexistes et sexuelles.

A nice pamphlet. A good starting point into feminist thought. Pretty revolutionary under French feminist standards. Full of very quotable sentences.
