This was so strange, beautiful, sweet, heartbreaking and tragic. Not at all what I was expecting but beat all expectations.
Written so well that within 100 pages you easily fell in love with all the characters, highly recommended, one of my favorite reads of the year!

CW: child death, murder, abduction/kidnapping, gaslighting, mentions of the death of a spouse, blood, body horror, violence, animal death (off page but the aftermath is described)
short but sweet, sad. wish we could've gotten a little more as to WHY, but I loved this.

This story is the appropriate length. There's an author note at the end about how originally it was 3,000 words. I'm sure that it's much better expanded as is.
Reading about two young boys, the woman who cares for them, and others who come and go doesn't sound great, but it is. Especially for the AHA moment when you finally learn what's really happening

That was a wild read for me. It was crawling with eeriness. The ending was not what I was expecting and spine chilling! I really enjoyed this!
