I'm really not a fan of how the women are done in this book.
The snow maiden's last regret is not having a partner or child, rather than not enacting the revenge for her husband and brothers? Like.. really? Also Dennison as a mindless sex doll is very unsatisfying, though the mind-control reveal was cool.
However, throughout the snow maiden is really cool, and I liked Lex and the Russian-American team. Their assault on the base was really fun, though the Rods from God felt less impressive than they were hyped up to be. Also, while a lot of the character cameos felt shoehorned in the two later books, the only one I really didn't like was MacAllen on the rescue mission for Siren. Why would he be the person joining an all Russian-American team? I'm rating these kinda low but I do think that's because I blazed through them so quick and I'm comparing them to other stuff I've read.
