If you like cameos/crossovers with witty banter, you'll like this. If you want pure character progression for Carol, skip this one. But don't skip this one, it was fun.

This was really poor. I hate random crossovers that come out of nowhere and this one was particularly bizarre. Never did I need an entire arc of Captain Marvel murdering clone Avengers one-by-one. Super dumb - hope Thompson goes back to the great writing that started this new line, otherwise this one is going to be dropped real fast.

I really liked this story! A good balance of darkness, story, and character. As always, I just wish we could've gotten into it a bit more- this could've been a bigger arc for sure- but it was still well done as it was. And the last issue was very cute.

So this volume did not pick up with what happened in volume 2 but I really liked that the villain allowed Captain Marvel to show strategy and leadership, which she excels at.
I also liked the lighthearted and fun final issue in the volume, it’s always nice when Marvel doesn’t feel the need to focus on fighting and suffering.

I love Carol. I don't love Carol like this.
I hope the next arc isn't as dark and has a lot more Flerken.
To be honest, I miss Kelly Sue DeConnick. Maybe I need to re-read them.
(Although I did love Tony's dressing gown.)
