Who needs a plot when bringing back old characters is enough to rock the boat!!!

Not like the others

It was good , it had that JK Rowling feel, but at the same time it didn't. I can't quite put my finger on what was different about it, maybe the way it was written as a play rather than a novel. I'm happy that I was able to go back to wonderful world of Harry Potter.

I liked the premise for the story; however, since it’s a script, there isn’t much room for character development. I’m hoping it’s much better live.

An excellent addition to the Harry Potter series. I loved the blending of the characters we already know and love with the new characters. Yay Albus and Scorpius! Those two are characters you will get to know and love. At least I did. The book had its share of twists and turns and it makes you mad at times but it is still good.

If I could give it zero stars....I would. I will never get the time I wasted on this trash back and it left a bitter taste in my mouth of the entire franchise. I'm sure the play is visually stunning but the plot and story is hot garbage.

Fast read

Really good. I was nervous because the original books are so good, and was happy that this one did not disappoint.

I actually really enjoyed this. Which surprised me, due to the flack this book received. I suppose I heard the critiques, and went into this book with an open mind. I accepted that this book was not solely written by Rowling, and was in fact mostly written by someone else entirely. I knew it was a screenplay written in script format. I was able to truly enjoy reading this, because I approached it as its own entity. A new story with cameos from our beloved characters... like well written fan fiction.

As for the story itself,
SpoilerI loved that Harry Potter's son was placed in Slytherin and became best friends with Draco Malfoy's son. I also love that by the end of this book, Draco and Harry have come to understand and respect each other. Of course, Harry Potter as any other parent desperately trying - and failing - to understand their teenager was great. Also, I definitely cried during the scenes in which Severus Snape made an appearance. I am so glad that was included in this. Working with time travel was tricky, but the writers managed to pull it off without doing damage to the stories we already know and love.

Don't go into this book expecting the masterpiece that JK Rowling created, in which each book connected to the next and everything happened for a reason from the very beginning. This is a stand alone. Nothing to connect with, and the story is simply a story. However, it was very well done. A further glimpse into the future of our heroes and their families. And it does have a lot of references to the original series that will make you smile and laugh and, of course, cry.

Awful. Awful, awful, awful.

The voice is all wrong. This is really bad fan fiction that, as a Harry Potter fan, I do not accept as canon.
